"the world's greatest expert on the subject " had no problem with climate science, precisely because Fourier, Tyndall, Arrhenius, Callendar, and Keeling all used the scientific method. That's why people like you have to pretend he would be aghast, when he wasn't.

"If it disagrees with experiment, it is WRONG."
That means, if it agrees with experiment, it's right.
Arrhenius said, "Add CO2, and temps will go up." That's precisely what we did, and that's precisely what temps did. Admittedly, it would be nice to have a second earth, in which everything was the same, but with CO2 kept constant at 280 ppm, as a control. We don't have one, so we're stuck with experimenting on ourselves.

" there was never a real experiment to begin with"
We're doing the real experiment; you are living in the test tube. We've added enuf CO2 to go from 280 ppm to about 405, and temps have gone up 1.51 degrees C.

This would be a good time to stop the experiment, before it gets much warmer.
