You know I happen to agree with you about all this renaming business for the following reason. One cannot be both discriminated, and shut out of society AND also be a mover and shaker of that society, at least not with any great success. So of course most of our great historical political figures are white, at the moment. Does that mean we throw them out? They are mostly male too, but that is to be expected. As we mature, if we mature, as a society, great women and minority presidents will come along and their names will be used. I see no reason to diminish the greatness of our forefathers because they were not a "rainbow."
