The coming Korean war:

I see I have a half dozen or so BS posts from Trumpers here, but I'm going to defer reading those till this evening. There's some much more important stuff going on now than your political opinions, namely a likely war with NK.

Trump tweeted a threat early this morning to take care of the problem with or without China's help. And that followed explicit messages and leaks over the past week that the US is considering violent actions against NK. We have a aircraft carrier group headed to Korea and the Brit, Aussie, and SK (and other) media say China has put 150K troops on the NKean border. So what will happen?

NK suing for peace - I think that can be ruled out.

The US signaling an attack and not following through .. that would make the President look weak. So that can probably be ruled out too.

A decapitation strike at KJU? The adm LEAKED that that was an option days ago so KJU will be hiding in the deepest bunker in NK. We're not going to be able to take out KJU. Besides NK is now on their third generation of crazy Kim family members. How do we know there aren't more?

Will we aim at taking out NK's nuclear missiles? Assuming they're not all protected UG. Seems likely that will be the most likely attack.

BUT we have to consider what happens next?

This isn't Syria. You can hit Syria and there's no hit back. But NK has Seoul and US & SKean troops on the border as targets to strike back at with conventional missiles. Will we be able to take all those out? Doubtful. There's supposed to be a lot of them. Is there a possibility NK will take a hit and not respond militarily? That seems unlikely too.

What are we prepared to do when NK hits back at SK? What will China do if we attack and get into a war w/ NK? They didn't move 150K troops to their border for no reason.

So I don't see that we can tell what's going to happen except that war seems very likely and it probably won't be a missile attack and nothing more.

I thank God Flynn and Bannon won't be running this. McMaster and Mattis I trust a lot more.

I suggest people pray for the troops on the border in SK and for the people of Seoul.
