am wondering if perhaps trump could just call kim, to say, testing a nuke is a bad bad idea It could sure be a start to also ask Xi to stop Kim to stop testing nukes near others general territories and threatening any other sovereign country to at least cease stop the testing of nukes, the most dangerous war weapon in human history. China is the only country on the planet that has any leverage over Kim, besides others using other's nuclear or non-nuclear devices. I have a tough time believing that Xi is the only responsible and capable person who wants even partially globally capable global thermonuclear missile buttons in Kim's incompetent and sociopathic hands. Is anybody willing to say no? Do we really want something like a Prisoner's dilemma with those planetary risks on the table? Duterte said Beijing warned him that "there will likely be trouble" if every head of state of contending parties will go to the disputed islands and plant flags. duh... That's be sadly funny in a way. Can you imagine how long it would take diplomats to try just and resolve an island and flag dispute? It'd be decades in our current kind of geopolitical environment... Add in that only female diplomats can attend and participate to keep the testosterone level lower. ;)
