I was, in a former life, a strident liberal. (Have you heard the saying, "A youth who is not a liberal has no soul and a middle aged man who is not a conservative has no property" I feel it applies to me, but only a little, even though I am a woman. I actually am neither liberal nor conservative. I sit on the sidelines and whine about issues. Silly me.) Anyway, I campaigned for Mondale/Ferraro ages and ages ago.
