IMHO the news is just the trigger to begin watching the stock's technical indicators. The TA is what triggers the entry/exit. Rather than watch the news I concentrate on the largest intraday point gainers/losers for stocks to watch. I screen this list against my permanent watchlist for stocks to watch closely intraday.
