Jeff: Re: what is this world coming to ?
Try this on for size.
Let's pretend there is a certain frequent poster who, rightfully or wrongly, has been accused of being compensated in one way or another with regards to saying positive things (not hyping, mind you) about a certain company.
And, let's pretend that said poster ran up huge humongous long distance telephone bills by calling said company (which, for reasons unknown, has no 800 number) daily to get information that borders on insider stuff.
Then, let's pretend that said poster talks said company into providing said poster with a direct line to said company's headquarters.
Now, if the above admittedly hypothetical situations were indeed factual, then said poster wouldn't have to call the company to ask questions of said company's President which might provide information pertinent to said posters discussions on said company's SI thread.
Or, perhaps said poster is just blowing smoke and has no basis in fact for certain information posted on said company's SI thread.
Or, perhaps said poster is being human and interpreting said company's press release information in light most favorable for said poster's position.
How is one to know which, if any, of the above scenarios is true?
Indeed ... what is this world coming to?
Sure is a pretty day ...
