"That meant thousands of poor people died or did not get needed medical help when they needed it "

The good news is that thousands of poor people do NOT die in the USA because they cannot get needed medical help when they need it. That is just propaganda put out by the blubbering Left.
Don't you think that you are being just a little overly dramatic? No one in the USA is denied healthcare. That is the law. The law is posted in hospital emergency rooms. You have been told this many times but you just will not except it. Call your local non profit hospital and ask them what their procedure is when someone comes to the emergency room. Does the patient get treated first or are they ask for insurance first?
Hospitals write off millions of dollars every month as noncollectable. You would be amazed.
You have no idea what you are talking about.
You are a dem wit and you always have been. Demonrats do not seem to have any brains. Those are the facts.
Obamacare was a horrendous solution in search of a problem.
