There is the manufacturing cost of the item - and there are the documentation costs of proving the item meets the millions of government regulations. Leftist loons LOVE the regulations - and leftist loons deny the price impact of their idiocy. Wanna fly a hammer on the Space Shuttle - you need to have paper work tracing the materials back to the mine. Love the regulations - deny the reality. There are few better examples of just how uninformed the general public and the loony left are. What is really sad is that many on the loony left do understand the costs of their idiocy - but they see those costs as issues to exploit and not solve. The loony left is destructive to America.
