HI Chip, Yes the SPX has been having a real two sided battle.....

That 2341 on the daily chart is so pivotal.. as time is going on it appears we may not hold it.... boy has the market really been gravitating towards it in the June futures.



The 60 minute globex chart is suggesting that we could be seeing the potential for some more weakness it .. a seems.. a move over 2357 would strengthen the bullish short term view..... lots of cross currents...
..... a very good point you make regarding the emerging markets.
