Since I do not know your name I will use your user name. My testimony is pretty boring. I do not know of a particular day when I came to know the Lord, My mother became a believer and accepted Jesus when she was pregnant with me, being that she many miscarriages before me she was in fear of losing me when she was pregnant so her story goes that she promised God that she would give me back to him if of course I was born, I ended up being a ten pound whopper and I am sure I caused her allot of misery. Being that my Mother was a new believer in Jesus she would read the Bible constantly to learn more. So since birth my Mother was constantly telling me about Jesus and reading me the stories in the Old Testament, I don't know how many times I accepted him when I was a Child but I am sure it was many. My parents were the best that anyone could have not once when I was growing up as a child did they speak a four letter word that I knew of. My Father never stated that he believed in anything even to this day but I can not tell you anything bad about my Father other than him wanting to be involved in everything that I do. I am not saying this because he is my Father but I have never meet someone as kind or loyal to his wife as he is and I am sincere with this statement. He through all the years has taken my Mother to service but he would never go in. It might be that my Father has not fully accepted my Mothers belief in Jesus and for this reason he just keeps to himself. So I am real sensitive when people lay Judgement on others without them knowing the individuals they are laying Judgement on. I never
was big on going to worship every week as I was getting older I couldn't take the conflict of this scripture means this and that. I truly belive that Jesus is our teacher if we truly accept him. My wife is a weekly worshiper were she goes to service I am not. I have tried to go to service but I usually get in the middle of a conflict, not a yelling or screaming kind, just something that will be annoying to me, and rather than getting annoyed I avoid it by not going to service. As I was growing up you could count the number of Jewish friends I had on one hand most of my friends consisted of Gentiles, White, Black, Asian ect.... They all new my boundarys and respected them since many were unbelievers, I do not want any one to take this the wrong way but I found that the majority of my friends who believed in Jesus to be very shallow, I had a non believing friend who was a real Grease ball Black everything and all leather if you know what I mean, you would look at him and say that he was trouble quite the opposite, yes he would do some things that I wouldn't do like getting drunk but I always looked at the good qualitys that he possessed and I did this with many of my friends, my believing friends would never even talk or associate themselves with him or others who were like him I thought that to be very shallow. All I know is that they knew I was a beliver and they knew my boundarys and we always had a mutual respect if not I would cut off the freindship. Some of the unbelievers became believers as we grew up together. So I am sure everyone on this thread thinks of the little Jew boy who went to synagogue every week and worshiped, quite the opposite I may have went to a synagogue or Temple maybe twice in my life. I would worship in peoples homes, or in missionaries and Congregations. When I was younger I loved cars I at one time had six all the way from a Plymouth Superbird that looked like it came out of star wars to a Chevelle Super Sport. But now since I am Married all that is gone and I am a proud owner of a Ford Taurus, with two boys that are a handful one is ten and the other seven, you would have a hard time believing they are brothers, one is dark skin, brown eyes and hair and big boned and the other is a red head, green eyes and light skinned and bones so light you whould think they had air in them. But there is a interesting story about the seven year old I named him Philip before he was born after my fathers brother who was killed in the war, who also had red hair and green eyes, I was quite surprised when he was born the red hair was prevalent. Anyway enough said my wife is annoying me right know about getting our wood floors done I would rather be typing then doing that but we all know how wives can be.
