Good article. It is an interesting point that the normal adoption curve for cars may not apply since ride hailing services will benefit dramatically from fully autonomous cars. I tend to think that individual car ownership will last longer than the article but the car riding services will help push costs down for both electric and autonomous components as they help the technologies quickly achieve scale.

I also am skeptical car pooling will be big. Costs for car hailing services will drop so dramatically that the incentives for car pooling are going to be far smaller.
