You don't need to use a dial up connection to get to AOL. Actually it is cheaper to use AOL if you don't dial them up. I use the TCP/IP connection or "Bring your own access" as it is called at AOL. So I get unlimited for $9.95 a month. I believe AOL is overvalued but this isn't one of the reasons.
