I wasn't going to buy a car. I was going to enclose a patio to create a puppy palace for my dog and a shop for myself.

In earlier posts we guessed that avant's earnings in the first few years could all be attributed to products with stolen code. That looked to me to be around $300 million. Someone also guessed that Cadence would get triple damages, so maybe that'll be $900 million. It seems to me that that would bankrupt Avant and the stock would go to zero.
A Cadence person was quoted in EE times as saying that he didn't think Apollo would be injoined January 15. That would leave Avant still in the market with what I've been told is a very good product. I'm thinking that means we won't get the big dip in price January 15. It seems we'll have to wait for the judgement against Avant before all us shorters can buy new toys. I wish someone would guess how long this trial will take.

With Avant broke and Gerry Hsu under criminal charges, I don't think he'll be staying in the US.

If Avant goes bankrupt, gets rid of their current slimy management that skips the country, and still has first class products like apollo, I might go long on them at that time.
