You explained quite clearly how we all pay for the overhead of ERs, whether or not we use them.

The same reasoning you gave for the ER overhead applies to the overhead of the clinics.

You are correct, we all pay that overhead whether it's used or not.

We only differ in the terminology we use to refer to it.

I see it as a de facto single-payer system, funded by us.

You see us all paying for it as...apparently something else.

How do you characterize this system where we all communally pay for the medical care we are getting?
