One correction, though, it's not the rationale that's fucked up, it's the system.

To be correct, your sentence should read, "By that rationale we are already on a fucked up single payer system".

There. We agree. Now all we need to do is figure out how to fix it.

I'd start with the Heritage Foundation's Step #1:
