That's a pretty good description of Donald Trump. He had a shitstorm of idle complaints and criticism about how our country and government works and how he would quickly change "all of that", but now that he's President he's quickly learned why we do things the way we do.

He's variously described his naivete as "nobody had any idea how complicated this is" referring mostly to himself and "I can't believe these guys" referring to the "always no" Tea Party.

Trump's quick turn-arounds on Korea and China also reflect his growing appreciation and apprehension of how the real world is different from his imagination, but he's been kind of mum about it and the arrogance has been replaced with anxiety and deflection.
