American Dental Technologies Announces License Agreement
SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--(BW HealthWire)--Jan. 6, 1998--American Dental Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADLI - news) announced today that it has granted a non-exclusive license to Continuum Electro-Optics, Inc. (''Continuum'') of its U.S. Patents 5,257,935 and 5,342,198 and foreign counterparts for the use of Erbium:YAG lasers for cavity preparation in exchange for the agreement of Continuum to pay royalties. Additionally, the companies agreed to jointly defend the patents and continue discussions for joint marketing of Erbium:YAG lasers for use in hard tissue dental applications such as cavity preparations. Continuum is a subsidiary of Hoya Corporation USA which is wholly owned by Hoya Ltd. of Japan.
