The concept of "hate speech" is an invention and effort by the progressive left to silence free speech by those who do not accept the liberal progressive view of sexuality, religion, economics, ethnicity, politics etc.. Efforts have gone so far as to extend hate speech to include disagreeing with the the liberal progressive view of climate change.
The oppression of free speech is one of the first steps taken by all totalitarian political factions seeking domination of a free society.
