I've heard. The French in the country are supposed to be more approachable than in the city.

I have nothing against the Europeans...what is missing here is the concept that each culture has people which may appear to be a rip in the social fabric. I'm trying to put that across to my son. A year later he has had no contact with Italians...just the French Canadians.

All I have said is, the flip side of the coin is that the Americans have not cornered the market on social mistakes. This point has been glossed over. All I'm trying to do is point this out. However, I understand the drill. I'll sit here and fend off the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune for awhile...then you people are stuck here while I go back to work.
