I forget what the order of operation of install was but the bookmarks and some other files I believe are stored in separate folder from the application and that is pretty standard for browsers now. Check my last post, depending on the amount of add-ons and plug-in extensions you use the 64-bit browsers may not be for you. Also the less system ram there is then the less the 64-bit browsers makes sense, imo.

There was some pop-up at bottom of firefox last time I upgraded the other month, it asked about a refresh to a new look but I cancelled that. Perhaps that is what locogringo was referring to. That link did say if you did the refresh you would lose extensions and have to reinstall. For how I use browsers I like the 64-bit versions but they are not for everyone.
