I don't think the North Korean gambit is something we can predict. Statistically, it's a bad idea to play chicken with two countries that have nuclear weapons especially when both people playing chicken are insane and paranoid.

The cardinal rule in psychology is that you never corner a paranoiac. Kim Jong UN might do anything and we all know that if Trump attacks North Korea half of South Korea could be killed.

What worries me TL is that I do not think Trump understands probability. And he doesn't understand that if you play chicken enough times, sooner or later someone is going to make a mistake and when nuclear weapons are involved you can't afford even one mistake. This whole thing is really worrisome to me.

I do not see how we avoid a major catastrophe if Trump somehow manages to stay in office for four years.
