It is important to write down confirmation numbers because that is the last link if one gets into questionable situation with them. They always ask you the confirmation number when you call to complain. No confirmation number, no evidence. I had found this out the hard way. They simply cannot help you if what you say cannot be verified.

Jon, I assume you are a Canadian. Just out of curiousity. I was in Vancouver over Christmas and I was able to call Waterhouse's TradeDirect 1800-967-8888 in Vancouver. Am I supposed to be able to call any 1800 and 1888 number to the US from Canada? Just very curious.
