I am switching out of Verizon cell cuz of the expense

ATT gave me complete info when I stopped in
so did T Mobile
BUT
Sprint wud not tell me anything until they set up an account, including social, copy of drivers license, phone number, AAA number. They said they had to do this to get all my discounts. When they started to stumble over things, I gathered my cards up and left the store. Now, I fear that they will start charging me for a phantom phone service, or, worse, take my number out of Verizon and make me start with them. I also noted quite a few folks just waitng in the office. I assume they were waiting while they were ported out of a prior carrier, but that was just my imagination. Why else wud they be there, sitting along the wall.

I post this as a warning if any of you intend to stop by a Sprint store

While going with Sprint wud not be too bad, I wud prefer to go with ATT. The service at ATT is better from what Ive heard/read

In case a new phone is required, which one do all you folks suggest (OTHER THAN AN IPHONE!!)
