Josh, thanks for that abundance of info on cell phones. I was also glad to see your mention of the Moto phone. I have an Apple iPhone 5c, now about 3 years old. It's FAR more phone than I now need in retirement. I also am on a plan that provides more than double the time I need (will change that today). Point is, when I decide to change phones, that Motorola budget phone will be my choice. Even that would be a bit of overkill for my needs. I've had Motorola phones in the past and they were quality.
