The locals are saying that most of the beaches have disappeared with the rising waters and they expect crowded beaches this summer on those that are left.

The melting snow is undermining the roads causing huge pot holes and causing mud slides and rock slides. Both Spooner, Kingsbury and Highway 50 near Kyburz have had to close to fix the roads.
