I can't imagine Making a comment like that in a workplace. They'd have your ass for it today. Today, yes for sure. Back then? I don't know, but maybe that's the reason those women pull out those very old 'cases' which have now 'matured' in quality and thus potential cash value - like good red-wines - while back when they allegedly took place were considered harmless by all means. Personally I always stayed far away from even pseudo flirty behaviour in my workplaces for the simple reason, that I had no time for that BS when trying to do my work by my own best standards, which I always kept highest possible. A matter of self respect and more to add.
