Since it is doubtful that many look at the 2016 biotech contest page any more, I thought I would make a notation here about the use of the money from last years contest. Thanks to the many who sent in their pledge money to Catalyst Gardens, I learned today that they are using that money along with other donating money to purchase and install a greenhouse. This was beyond their dreams only a few months ago. The greenhouse will allow them to extend their growing season both earlier and later than they were previously able to do. Growing these vegetables at either end of the season means they will be able to offer more food to the local food bank for a longer season. So to those who donated; "Thanks"! You did good and you should feel proud. To Bulba who keeps this going through good biotech times and bad, a special "Thanks"! ........Catalyst Gardens is a 100% volunteer project so all the money donated will be used for the greenhouse building.
