"They just had a big mudslide in Laytonville, ca. Right across 101''

40 miles north.

"didn't happen because of the AGW drought either"
Correct; it was the AGW rain; we were expecting this last year with El Nino, but it was delayed a year.

Rat’s a fan of non-violent civil disobedience, and, at times, has thought about turning a demonstration along the highway into a sit-in on the highway when an extreme event requires more than just a march. Fittingly enuf, as the climate march approaches, Mother Nature decided to shut it down herself. This slide has been going on for a while. Cal-trans gets 1 lane open, and then more rain causes renewed sliding.

Highway 101 north of Leggett closed again after second slide
