Strange how some people don't want to be labelled with anything that sounds like they might belong to a minority community. That suggests to me that they have little sense of their own worth. As a southerner and one who grew up in the segregated south, I have nothing but praise for King and his vision. Yes, one may pick at his personal weaknesses or his naivete about communism, but his non violent, calm, respectful approach to righting the wrongs against those of his race were more effective that all the rantings of the murderous panthers in the sixties. The recent changing of the name of school named after George Washington by members of the black community is equally ridiculous.
