This is Democrat thinking. Every one of you, I would expect, agrees with this. Can anyone explain why? Should we not be seeking out the lowest tax rates than will generate the required revenue? Do we really need to punish people?

Do we need to punish those, who create jobs for our hard working guys and those, who only dream of being able to join them?

Do we really need to tax those, who already did pay their fair amount of taxes and then passed away?

Add to that, whoever receives a gift from a nice person, quite often a grand parent with the wish to share some of his savings with grand kids?

Our dear liberals, who so often mention North European countries like Sweden as the evidence, that true socialism really does work, should take heart from the fact, that in Sweden:

1. Corporate tax = 22%
2. Death tax (tax on inheritance ) = 0%
3. Gift tax = 0%

How about this for a starter now the discussion is up in the US?
