It is messed up. I mean, we've done this before -- the world gets off track on science from time to time, and it always comes back. I really hope Trump will stand up against the corruption of it. Which I think he'll do. Peer review is a travesty because it provides a totally false sense of security. It is, "Someone with credentials speed-reads the article." No one re-does the math. Takes another look at software source or data. There are peers, but no reviews. I think they ought to just kill peer-review and start over.
