I have some friends who like Marina Dunes. Moss Landing RV park leaves you a bit of a drive to Monterey, but it's near some quiet beaches. Hwy 1 is supposed to be open by end of September, but keep an eye open for delays. Big Sur is a marvelous stretch of coastline!
