J.R. and Bill, I had already posted on the NorTel issue on the Amati vs. Westell (DMT vs. CAP) thread when I saw your posts here.

I appreciate your reasoning about an ultimate migration to DMT, but if CAP/QAM captures early market share, and engineers at NorTel, Paradyne, etc. continue to improve the CAP/QAM technology at the rate they have been doing, this migration may never happen. The NorTel product is going to be a blockbuster I suspect. As Loring Wirbel of EE Times and Kieran Taylor of Telechoice both say, NorTel is the wild card here.
