The author had some interesting points. But I think he is dead wrong about the DOJ taking it on the chin from Microsoft. My reasons are strictly political ie,
1)they have nothing to lose by taking on "corporate America" to their Democratic base, in fact it would be politically expedient to do so.

2)Bill Gates is more and more disliked by the public as they find out more about he rather ruthless practices and also the fact that he isn't exactly the "boy next door that made good." Thus there would be very little political fallout by hammering him.

3) Most important, Gates and gang have ticked off the government. And that is the first thing you do not do when you are a corporate leader. Whats he going to do, revoke their licenses? They can hammer him real hard if they want to, including stopping him from selling anything( although that would be stupid.) But more importantly, they can outwait him. A faceless army that cannot be defeated unless he has installed sometype of virus that he can turn on and off and wreck them.

4)I think the case against him is quite strong with respect to bundling, and that can only help Sun.

Of course, all that being said, I thought the case against OJ was airtight and they really messed up the prosecution on that one.
