Bob,
In reference to "the little flock", I take it to mean the 144,000 mentioned in Rev 7 and also Rev 14. As I mentioned, the father's letter was originally sent to other priest in this group.
You also wrote; <<If the father is making a comparison to the priests and the 144,000 in Rev. 7: 4-8 the 144,000 are clearly from the 12 tribes of Israel. The tribes are even named. God always keeps some who have not bowed the knee to Baal!>>
I have come to ask, could Israel, as mentioned in Rev. be referring to all Christians? The Jews were the Israel of the Old Testament. Are Christians the Israel of the New Testament - ??? "Israel", as I understand it, means "God's chosen people." Are not the believers of today God's chosen people?
If so, the 12 tribes of Israel, would represent, the nations, races, etc. of the world. Thus the 144,000 would come from todays body of believers, and not necessarily from Jewish tribes or the nation Israel per say.
Any other thoughts out there? |
