I urge everyone to visit Castlewood's web site. It has some information that should be very disturbing for Iomega as well as SyQuest fans. Most importantly, read the FAQ.

castlewoodsystems.com

13. Are you going to be selling a VCR like product using your
new technology?

Answer: Our
OEM
partners will
be selling
Digital VCR
incorporating
the
Castlewood
ORB
technology
and drives

Incidentally, according to the FAQ, the name Castlewood is a merging of Castle Rock Films, and Kenwood stereos. They also have close ties with Sanyo.

This is no nickel and dime operation. These guys are serious.
