I’m glad you asked the question, Dew. ;-)
The main reason I spend the time being the Contest scorekeeper is because it helps raise money for charity. I’ve been very fortunate in my life and I feel it’s my moral obligation to give something back to those less fortunate than me.
In my view, the Trumpcare legislation approved by the GOP House is indeed “malignant,” taking away affordable health insurance from 24 million mostly lower income individuals in order to give the wealthiest in the nation an $800 billion tax break. In my mind, pointing this out in a forum, such as the Contest, where my view might get some attention is not partisan politics but also a moral obligation.
As to why I feel so strongly about the malignancy of Trumpcare, this New Yorker article may give you some idea:
