By all accounts Bernie's coalition was extensively new blood in the Democratic party. It was also clear the establishment promoted Hillary, tried its hardest to suppress to dissuade any opposition to her in the primary. I was not a Bernie supporter, though I had many friends that were. But Bernie was genuine and at the end that may have made the difference. I'd link the interview Jon Stewart did on his feelings of Hillary with Axelrod but its not really worth it.
