Hi Folks! As we know, PUG has already recovered a diamond on their southern AB property:
PUG - September 3, 1997 Diamond Located in Cypress Hills Area, South Eastern Alberta
Vancouver, B.C. - Don Sheldon, President of Pure Gold Resources Inc., is pleased to announce that the Company recently completed a systematic interpretation of a high resolution aeromagnetic data set from its Lethbridge Property block, which totals approximately 10 million acres, extending from the west of the city of Lethbridge east to the Saskatchewan Alberta border. The interpretation of data has confirmed that over fifty (50) circular magnetic anomalies have been identified from the interpretation. The anomalies are similar in appearance to the Peace River (Ashton JV) that has identified fifteen kimberlite pipes to date.
The Lethbridge Property straddles the Sweetgrass Arch, one of the two oldest structures in Alberta. The other, the Peace Arch, has proven to host several clusters of diamondiferous kimberlites. Wilfred Jones, diamond consultant to Pure Gold confirms that the magnetic targets occur within a structurally complex stable craton that hosts many positive diamond indicator minerals and actual alluvial diamonds. The Company also confirms that last week, a diamond was uncovered from gravel samples in the south part of the Lethbridge Property just west of the Saskatchewan border.
The Company will commence field examinations of the high priority magnetic targets this week. Four such targets are situated proximal to the newly located diamond in the Cypress Hills area. ------------///------------------- Beyond that, refer to Franks' last PUG news post: Message 3097009
...The analysis of the HRAM data is expected to be completed by mid-January 1998. Detailed ground follow up is scheduled to begin immediately following the HRAM data analysis.
It does sound as though PUG intends to get after these! I don't know of any hard projected dates, sir Frank-- But I agree, the Archean Hearne Craton is one to watch!
Cheers, -j :> PS, - Marum has also recovered a diamond in the area!
