Anybody know Buffet's view on owning income property specifically real estate w/i the U.S.? I was thinking that there is value in some of these Mall REITs w/ the demise of the legacy mall properties. Seems like Buffet would find value in the land which is located in high density urban areas. It's the location that's scarce so some of these Malls could be re-purposed into multi use housing & specialty retail. This could/would take many years to re-purpose as new local permits and re-zoning would/is required. Buffet is patient and always looks at the long term potential income streams. Would any of his other companies (retail if any) complement any such type of land acquisitions. I think he owns a home building company. Just looking outside the box on where Buffet will strike next.
