<< from the short side...NO??>>> I hit several shorts in Dec. and they bottomed out. They they all went back up 50 % of what they lost. I am back in with shorts as of yesterday. Fast money in shorts, but U got to get out when they are down. Seldom do I see anything just keep sliding. Last winter U.S.ROBTICS just slid and slid, but unusual.Have to work with popular stocks to reduce the risk of getting your short called in if you are out a few bucks. Years ago I shorted something one day and got it called back 2 days later. Small firms have a bad time keeping shorts going. Glad to see some big firms getting into electronic trading. 6 yrs. ago I told the head of the Pru office in town about e*trade. He never heard of them. I waited 35 minutes on the phone to talk to somebody at E*trade one time. They couldn't understand why I closed the account!!
