Howdy Pirate Joe, California State Securities Law if my information is correct. To be a registered investor at the National level you must have income of over 200k and a net worth of either 500k or 1 mil. They set these laws up this way to keep the hucksters from milking the small, poor investor. They only let him buy his shares from market makers which is so much fairer(GGGGGG). I for one don't agree with the regs as I figure everyone should be responsible for what they buy and if they buy a pig in a poke it's their problem but in todays sue happy society that isn't the way things work.....take care...
