Miss Lil, I doubt MUSE will affect female sexual response. I have to premise that I am going by memory her and have not reviewed the subject. Female sexual response does not involve vasodilatory activity
As in the male with a need for erectile response. Initially there is rather a secretory vaginal phase that has a lubricating fuction. Older women are defective in this because their vaginal cell lining is flattened and atrophic thus lacking the necessary columnar epithelial glandular cells that will effect the secretory phase. This is most commonly due to lack of female hormones and can be improved by estrogen intake, either in pill form ( Prem-pro or Premarin ),
or as a local vaginal estrogen cream or suppository.
Subsequently there is a vaginal relaxation phase that dilates the vagina( but not the orifice), which requires an intact neurological/vascular system and this may be impaired by age and it's consequent arteriosclerosis. The latter may also be involved to some degree in providing enough blood perfusion of the Vagina to execute the secretory phase but it is not as important as estrogen blood levels.
must of female sexual difficulties usually arise from the fact that it takes longer time and stimulation to achieve a full response than the male and often the male counterpart does not take the time to wait for the female to catch up; i.e. often the female sexual dysfunction is a male problem ( sorry guys! correct me if I am wrong ).
i.e. most females, with the right male both mentally ( able to take time/patience to turn female on ) and physically, ( able to achieve erection/penetration ), should be able to achieve an orgasmic phase.
In practice though, this is often not so.
Last but not least is the need for proper mental condition on part of both male and female, which is needed to turn all the various near-chemical mechanisms involved in the human sexual response.

PS Based on the above, I also doubt Viagra will have any effect on female sexual response.
