Joe, What is the processor for Compaq Presario 4824? I could not find it at Compaq website. I helped my friend's son to imigrate his old data to his expensive brand new 4824 this afternoon. Not only the system is so s-l-o-w with 32MB RAM, we encountered numberless ilegal operation errors and a couple lockup. I did not want to open the case to avoid the warranty (?). But what's side? I suspect that it is a PII-233 inside. Could the overheat caused these illegal operation errors?
