I've seen it Eric. End of life, generate more revenue, render a product bought and paid for useless, samo samo I've watched my whole life.

But I'm not blind. Riddle me this.....

While MS stopped updates to my Vista Business Microsoft Security Essentials and turned off the Microsoft Security Essentials that was installed on my Vista Business machine as well as preventing its reinstall, I can still install and get the latest updates for Microsoft Security Essentials on my XP machine.

What does Windows XP end of support mean?

Support for Windows XP ended on April 8, 2014. Windows XP users no longer receive new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options, or online technical content updates from Microsoft.

After this date, Microsoft Security Essentials will turn red.

For more information on what this means, and what you can do, go to the Windows XP website. You can also see answers to top questions about how this affects Microsoft Security Essentials updates.
