Brian-
Just a couple of suggestions on things for you to research/consider...

First of all- you are talking the language of "market timing." I'd encourage you to use the resources of the 'net to do some research on this type of investment strategy. My research shows that it has proven to be extremely difficult to do profitably over an extended period of time.

Second- if you wouldn't by at this level for the reasons you have mentioned, why buy at a lower level? Once the price drops to its "fair" value, how can you count on it returning to a higher "unfair"value? Better to look for a stock whose "fair" value is going to steadily increase as the company becomes more profitable.

Last- if it wasn't for the fact that reasonable people, given the same information, can reach different conclusions about the value and prospects of a company- there would be no market. Besides the money, what the market reveals about human nature is one of the things that can make following it so rewarding.

OK, that's enough keyboards and computers for me this morning. It's a beautiful fall day here in Western Colorado and I'm going outside and enjoy it. :-)
