Ok Chaz, fair enough; particularly on your "levels of innovation." Although I'd rate Microsoft higher than you have, I'm with you on the general concept. Also, I'd say Netscape began at a much higher innovation level than where they are today. And I guess I also disagree with the amount of credit you give Andreessen--my understanding is that others at Netscape (Clark, Barksdale, Eric Hahn (!), Mike Homer, etc.) are the ones who did all those great things.
