Hi Sankar,

I'm starting to wonder if the focus on the Yen and the Nikkei is more media hype than anything that has to do with reality. The Nikkei is worth about $112 US. If it drops 500 yen it would be about as earth shaking as IBM loosing $4. The Canadian dollar has lost 5 cents since April in US$. The US$ will buy 7 cents more against the yen than it did in April. Is anybody talking about a global economic melt down because of a weakness in the Canadian dollar? Or when Ford or General Motors looses a couple bucks a share?

Is there a composite index of all listed stocks in Japan that would give a better reality focus than the Nikkei?

Regards,

Don
