Hi everyone,

A while back, someone asked Mr. C about how closely to place trailing stops, and Mr. C replied that it depended on the volatility of the stock. That sent me off looking to see what others might have developed that I might be able to use with the NGI strategy once a stock goes up 30% or more.

I found the following, which seems interesting, and thought I'd share it with the group. I'll be using it on some past trades to see if it would have kept me from getting shaken out early or not. I already suspect the multiplier they suggest is a bit too low and geared more towards those who want to jump in and out of a trade frequently.

Someone put up an online calculator. It recently stopped working, but he has a nice summary of the method that I find better reading and used to create a spreadsheet for use with Yahoo's historical prices.

I hope someone finds this interesting or helpful.
